Glen was born on May 7, 1952, in Casper, WY to Princess D. (Kostka) and George Shay, Jr.
Glen grew up in San Jose, CA. He worked as a pool mason at Anthony’s Pools for many years, married, and had 3 children. Glen loved to ride motorcycles. In December of 1980, he was in an accident that left him congenitally challenged. His mother, Princess, became his caretaker and they moved to a ranch in Sturgis, SD. He loved to help on the ranch and made many memories there with the Rendezvous, riding his four-wheeler, and fishing.
He will be deeply missed. He was loved by many and always had a smile on his face.
Glen “Glenny” Eugene Shay, 67, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019, in Vale, SD.

I loved when he would always say I'm gonna step on your toes and pokie your nose and I always tell him I would cut off his braids he was such joy to be around

I knew Glenn for many years when I worked at first Pamida Pharmacy and then Shopko pharmacy. I can still hear him walking down the aisle in his cowboy boots and he'd always say to me, "Get Busy!!" It didn't matter if I WAS busy or NOT, that was his greeting to me. I always enjoyed seeing him, I would always ask how he was doing and how Mom (Princess) was feeling. My deepest condolences to the family. He was special and will be remembered and missed by many.
