Adam Kevin
Christianson
May 4, 1980 — Feb 11, 2022
Rapid City
Adam Kevin Christianson crossed the river Jordan to be with the angels on February 11, 2022.
On May 4, 1980, Adam was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Jay Christianson and Jennifer Stensland. Adam was a bright-eyed, adventurous, curious child who loved to investigate the inner workings of things. When Adam was three years old, he took apart his dad's stereo system to understand how it worked.
Adam's talents and creativity were limitless. At 22 years old, Adam started a production company and blazed the trail for electronic music. Adam was instrumental in hosting the first Badlands Jam. He was a self-taught musician and loved music. Adam was also an avid animal lover, and he found comfort in spending time with his dogs, Clutch and Roxy. He rescued Clutch, and often said, "act like a gentleman, Clutch." He loved nature and spent countless hours in the hills.
When Adam would enter the room, everyone felt the bright light of his presence. Adam was a loving soul with a big heart and a listening ear for everyone he encountered. He had a way of offering perspective to situations that left those around him feeling supported and understood. Adam possessed natural leadership skills and could pull people together, inspiring them to celebrate their individual and collective passions, talents, and beauty. Adam always looked for the good in everyone and every situation.
Adam was a straight shooter who was the first to admit his shortcomings. He wasn't afraid to tell people what he thought and how he felt. His candid expression of himself was reassuring to those in his life. Like everyone else, Adam endured struggles throughout his life, but it never changed with the wealth of good he possessed and shared with others.
Adam will always remain in our hearts and will be waiting for us to join him when we return home.
Adam is survived by his father, Jay Christianson; mother, Jennifer Abraham; stepfather, David Abraham; his brothers, Craig and Brian Christianson; aunts and uncles, Jeff Christianson, Carson and Barb Stensland, Andrea and Anna Chavira; three nephews; and many cousins.
A celebration of Adam's life will be held on March 5th from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Labor Hall, 922 E St. Patrick St in Rapid City, SD. Food and refreshments will be provided.
