Adam Paul Weisz, 46, Sturgis, SD, passed away July 22, 2024.

Adam was born July 8th, 1978, to Larry and Cheryl (Schieffer) Weisz in Rapid City, SD. He grew up in Sturgis where he was very active on the Sturgis Soccer team. He played soccer for 13 years, lettering in soccer and band, where he played trumpet. He enjoyed bowling and loved to golf with his dad and his nephew, Conor. He graduated from SDSU and worked for the Sturgis Parks Dept for about 10 years. He has worked for the Sanford Underground lab for 10 years.

Adam was a longtime member of the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department where he served for the last 20 years and EMS services for about 15 years. He served on the Fire Dept Board of Directors. Adam's passion was serving his community.

He is survived by his parents; his brother: Shawn (Nikki) Weisz; nephews: Conor (Tomlin) and Ethan Weisz; niece: Felicia Henry and her son: Zakai Kelly, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends: Steve Matz, Denise (John) Matz, and his fellow firefighters.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Schieffer, his Grandpa Weisz, and Grandma Douglas.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Dept.
