Obituary

Adele E. Fischer, 59, Rapid City, died Monday, October 20, 2008, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care following a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 8:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Little Flower Catholic Church in Rapid City with Father Bill Zandri officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Adele was born September 24, 1949, in Manchester, England, to Allan and Beatrice (Matthews) Reinholtz. She lived in Manchester for 3 years while her father was stationed in the military and then the family moved to Sturgis where Adele was raised and received her education.

She married Jerry Fischer in Sturgis on November 29, 1974. They moved to Rapid City where they raised their family.

Adele ran an in-home day care. She later worked for Custom Packaging in Rapid City.

Adele was a member of St. Theresa of Little Flower. She enjoyed camping in the Black Hills. Adele also enjoyed horses and raising flowers, especially roses.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Fischer, Rapid City; two sons, Todd (Justine) Fischer, Rapid City, and Jerome "JT" Fischer (Amanda Blakeman), Rapid City; one daughter, Lacey Fischer (Drew Harris), Rapid City; one sister, Diane (Johnny) Jacobson, Dover, NJ; and two grandchildren, Thristine LaPointe and Winter LaPointe-Fischer.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial has been established.
