Albia A. Whitehead, 92, of Hot Springs, died December 3, 2010 at the Northern Colorado Medical Center Hospice in Greeley, CO.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs with Father Claude Vershure officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Piedmont Cemetery at a later date.

Albia was born December 13, 1917 in Dallas, SD to Odessa M. and Flora A. (Peabody) Page. She grew up in Dallas and attended school through the 11th grade in Dallas. Albia married Harry Whitehead November 24, 1937 in Rushville, NE. They moved to Hot Springs where they have lived since. Albia worked as a nursing assistant for many years.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Linda) Whitehead of Piedmont; one daughter, Darlene (Robert) Reider of Milliken, CO; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eight brothers and sisters.
