Spearfish | Alice Irene Withrow, age 73, residing in Spearfish, South Dakota died on September 10, 2014 at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish, due to complications from Breast Cancer and Alzheimer's. Alice was born on October 2, 1940 in New York, NY and raised in Rockville, Maryland. Alice moved to Thousand Oaks, California with her family in September 1971 from Bonn, Germany. She was a graduate of Moorpark College. Alice was active in her local Catholic Church and various local charities. She retired from Amgen Pharmaceuticals in 2007. Due to illness, she left Thousand Oaks in October of 2008 and relocated to Spearfish, South Dakota. She is survived by her three sons, Brian Withrow of Las Vegas Nevada, Kevin Withrow of Long Beach, California and Dave Withrow of Spearfish, South Dakota. Upon her request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Donations can be made in Alice's name to either Alzheimer Awareness or a breast cancer association.
