Alma E. Wheeler 83 of Sturgis passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday May 1st, at the Black Hills Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Sturgis, with Chaplain Charlie Conger officiating. Interment will follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery Alma E. Wheeler was born February 12, 1923 in Plainview, SD, to Ray & Emma Hughes. She was married to Elmo Gene Wheeler July 15, 1961 in Sturgis. They lived in Sturgis, and she was a housewife and helped with the Veterinarian Business, which was in their home. Survivors include two sons, Lloyd with his wife Kari and their children Loren & Kaci of Whitewood. Calvin with his wife Theresa & their children Natasha, Amanda & Crista, of Sturgis. Three Daughters, Lana with her Children, Shane, Clint with his wife April & Troy of Sturgis, Kim of Florida & her children Elizabeth, Daniel, Michael & Eugene. Carmen with her husband Dean & their children, Dean, DeVona, LaVana, Michael, Spencer, Karma & Kara of Sheridan, Wyo. Four great grandchildren, four sisters & one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, two sisters and one brother. A memorial has been established in Almas name to the family.
