Alvin was born February 3,1930 and grew up and attended school in the Belle Fourche and Spearfish South Dakota area. As a young man he worked on the family farm and ranch southwest of Belle Fourche, various filling stations and the Case Machinery dealership at Belle Fourche prior to his marriage to Theresa Wood from Vale, SD on January 9, 1949 at Belle Fourche.

Shortly after marrying Theresa Wood, Alvin then worked on a ranch in the Bear Lodge area for a couple of years then tried his luck farming beets in the Vale area for several years until the sugar factory closed in Belle Fourche. Alvin and Theresa then purchased a farm 9 miles northwest of Newell, SD where they farmed, raised sheep and cattle. While living on the "Horse Creek Place" Alvin would share crop as many local farms as he could and his haying crew, which consisted of his two sons whom were almost in high school, wife and old worn out hired hand, was the talk of the neighborhood as they would put up more hay than the local area haying crews some of which consisted of a dozen grown men. Al was able to accomplish this by telling his "hands" that they would go fishing in the "Hole in the Wall" in Wyoming if the first cutting hay was put up by the 4th of July. After purchasing 2 other farms North of Newell and operating them for a number of years he was forced to liquidate most of the property during the high interest rates of the "Carter Years". Alvin has lived at his present home 3 miles North East of Newel for the last 28 years.

Alvin had many interests in life but his most favorite adventure was to buy a "Good Deal" on ebay and take the bus to pick it up and drive it back home.

Visitation for Alvin will be on Sunday, December 1 from 4pm to 7pm at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, Sturgis. The funeral service will be 10:30am Monday, December 2 at the Newell Assembly of God Church with Pastor Terri Dutton/Blanchett officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Slope Cemetery, Belle Fourche.

Alvin is survived by Margaret Falzerano (wife) with whom he had married on January 27,2013, Warren and Linda Falzerano (son and daughter-in-law), Laura and Randy Fox (daughter and son-in-law), Lorelie and Steve Barth (daughter and son-in-law), Douglas and Frances Falzerano (son and daughter-in-law) and step-children Marc Hoff, Karla Cantao, and Cynthia Hoff. Avin is also survived by twentyone grandchildren, twentynine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Alvin was preceded in death by his first wife Theresa Ann Falzerano (Wood) on December 4, 2001, mother Mary Louise Falzerano (Bonato), father Vincent James Falzerano, sister Carmella Banham, brother-in-law Leon Banham, sons Marshall William and Gerald Wayne Falzerano, granddaughter Sherry Sue Falzerano, grandson Dwight Fox, and great grandsons Axton and Scott Falzerano Jr.
