Sturgis | Alvin L. Span, 76 of Sturgis, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Ft. Meade. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959. Survivors include his wife, Linda Span, Sturgis; a daughter, Jaime (Jack) Caldwell, Green Bay, WI; a son, Steve Span, California and two grandchildren, Tanner Ross and Alex Caldwell. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Span. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Monday, February 2, 2015 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Military honors will conducted by the Sturgis Veteran's Honor Guard. Friends and family are asked to meet at Black Hills Funeral Home at 9:30 am to travel in procession to the cemetery. .
