Obituary

MESA, Ariz. - Alyce Alvira Lee, former long-time Newell and Belle Fourche resident, passed away on November 27th in Mesa, Arizona.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Father Arnold Kari officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Newell.

Alyce was born on June 3, 1915 to Julius and Mary Miller and grew up on a farm near Strool, SD. She married Myron (Curly) Lee on September 28, 1936 in Bison, SD. They were married for over fifty years, until his death in 1990. She and Curly ran an implement business in Newell for many years until they retired. Alyce was a busy mother and wife for most of her years. Later in life, she moved to Chandler, AZ, and became the manager of a senior mobile home park. She enjoyed country music, an occasional trip to the casinos, and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her three children, Jerry Lee, Riceville, IA, Roger Lee, Gilbert, AZ, and Sharon Lee, Reno, NV, as well as nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
