Obituary

LEAD | Amy Taylor, affectionately known by friends and family as "December 77", passed into the care of our Lord Jesus Christ, Friday July 8th, at the Rapid City SD Regional Hospital. The Lord took her hand and lifted her up after a heroic three year struggle to recover from very serious multiple illnesses.

Born on February 4th 1964 in Columbus Ohio, she spent most of her early life in the Washington DC suburbs of Northern Virginia. In 1998, she left the stress of the national capital area and moved to Lead, South Dakota where she had a passion for Native American culture and art. She worked several jobs including bus driver for handicapped children and being a med tech at a local nursing home. Her passion was her old Victorian house located on one of the steepest hills in Lead.  She was in the process of earning her college degree, majoring in the social work field.

Amy is survived by her dear longtime companion and care giver Bert Perry, Lead; her son Micheal, Lead;, her daughter Serena, Douglasville, GA; her brother Tad Ronane, Burnsville MN; and six grandchildren.  Amy was dearly loved and respected, and will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.
