Dr. Angel Dawn Overvold passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 23, 2019.
A caring and compassionate individual, Angel devoted her life personally to all the lives she touched and this spilled into her professional life.
Angel was born on September 24, 1973, to Ken Hoggarth and Patricia (Lesmeister) Hoggarth. She lived in Jamestown, ND, graduating from Jamestown High School 1992. She was married to Jamie Overvold on August 2, 1997. Her degrees were obtained from Jamestown College and Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Angel had practiced family medicine in several communities. At the time of her passing she was providing care to America's Veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs Fort Meade Hospital in Sturgis, as well as Rapid City Regional Hospital.
As important as her practice was to her, her family was foremost in her heart and mind. Angel was so proud of her daughters' talents in cheer, gymnastics, academics, and music. She shared her joy of biking, quilt making, and love of her French Bulldogs with her family. She is survived by the loves of her life: her two beautiful daughters, Alivia and Keelie, and her husband, Jamie.
She will be remembered as an endearing, benevolent mother, wife, sister, and daughter, as well as a good friend and compassionate doctor. Friends will remember her as selfless, caring, and always willing to listen and give a hug.
She leaves behind her adored daughters, husband, and two beloved French Bulldogs, as well as countless loved ones. She shared with us her sunshine: In her smile, warmth, hugs, laughter, and graceful soul.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, in-utero twin, and beloved unborn child who never experienced vitality. Words cannot express the loss we are experiencing other than the gratitude we share in the ways she enriched our lives.
A prayer service will be from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019, at Fountain Springs Church - West, in Rapid City, SD. A Celebration of Angel's life will follow from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Fellowship Room in Jamestown, ND.
