Ann L. Chamberlain, 63, Whitewood, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at her residence.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10. 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Father Arnold Kari officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Ann was born December 2, 1944, in Providence, RI, to Arthur and Lillian (Madden) McAteer. She grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from beauty school. Ann married Patrick Chamberlain in Providence on August 14, 1967. They moved to the Black Hills area in 1970.
Ann was everyone's Mom and anyone could come to her for anything. She loved to take her Mother to Country Kitchen with her friend, Joyce, every day. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her kids where-ever they were. Ann loved to go camping; it didn't matter where, just as long as they were camping. Her kids always came first and she was their best friend.
Ann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish. She taught CCD for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Chamberlain, Whitewood; one son, Leonard (Robin) Chamberlain, Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Mellissa Spencer, Whitewood, and Susan (Robert) Osborne, Rapid City; one brother, Arthur McAteer, Riverside, RI; one sister, Lillian Biancheri, Hiltonhead Island, SC; eight grandchildren, Tyler Spencer, Shaylen Hannah, Alisha, and Robert Jr. (RJ) Osborne, and Claryssa, Alex, Ethan, and Brady Chamberlain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patricia, one son-in-law, Jason Spencer, and one brother, Leonard McAteer.
