Anna Marie (Kaiser) Westberg, 39, died on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at home in Whitewood SD. Her husband was by her side holding her hand at the time of her passing. She endured a heroic fight with Colon Cancer for over five years. She never gave up fighting the cancer, not for herself, but to show her kids that she would "never give up for them."

She will be remembered for the beautiful mother that she was. Her children always came first and she lived her life with an infectious and beautiful smile. She had an unwavering faith in God and unending love for her children. She was baptized into Christ at Marcus Presbyterian Church on April 11, 1976, and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran in Whitewood on December 12, 1993.

Anna was born March 11, 1976, in Sturgis, SD, to Robert and D'Anna (Mahaffy) Kaiser. She lived her entire childhood in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 1994. She then attended Black Hills State University.

She started dating Zach Westberg in eighth grade. The high school sweethearts became husband and wife on June 13, 1996, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood. They had a wonderful marriage that was filled with love and laughter. The couple then moved to Colorado Springs, CO, so Zach could pursue his work as a paramedic. Anna began working in commercial real estate as a secretary and advanced into marketing and eventually got her brokerage license.

Anna became mother to three beautiful children: Nathaniel, Rylan, and Abigail. She found her true calling to life in being a mother. Her love to her children and husband was bountiful, sincere, and unending.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs, CO, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school, and of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Whitewood SD.

Anna was the type of person that people hope to be. She was loving, sincere, generous, and happy. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Zach, and children, Nathaniel, Rylan, and Abigail, all of Whitewood; her parents, D'Anna (Lavern) Fischer and Robert (Marilyn) Kaiser, all of Sturgis; brother, Ross Kaiser, Sturgis; half-sister, Tanya Paradise, Sturgis; step-sisters, Shanna Nelson, Spearfish, and Rebecca Schaunaman, Sioux Falls; step-brothers, Jeremie Fischer, Huntsville, AL, and Josh Nelson, Sturgis; and her mother and father-in-law, Jeff and Julie Westberg of Whitewood; sisters-in-law, Jody Westberg, San Diego, CA and Jamie Westberg, Whitewood; and brother-in-law, Bryan Westberg, Cheyenne, WY.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD.

Anna's funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood, SD. Burial will follow at Whitewood Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood.
