Anne Marie Morman, 53, of Rapid City and formerly of Aberdeen, SD, and Sturgis, SD, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Anne was born January 12, 1962, in Deadwood, SD, to Dale Morman and Mary Ann Rasmussen, both of Sturgis. The third of four children, Anne was an enthusiastic participant in life, involving herself endlessly in a wide variety of activities from barrel racing and lifeguarding to Junior Auxiliary Club and Girl Scouts. She helped build hiking trails and overlooks on Bear Butte, near Sturgis, during her time with the Youth Conservation Corps. She graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 1980 and received an Associate's Degree in Business from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, in 1982.

In 1981, Anne married Daniel P. Zerr of Aberdeen, SD. Together they had two children, Erica and Tony. She volunteered at the Aberdeen Area Humane Society as a foster-care provider for animals. In her professional life, she worked at Student Loan Finance Corporation for nearly 20 years, leaving to start her own business in downtown Aberdeen. The family took many trips to the Black Hills, enjoying hiking, camping, and exploring. She lived in Aberdeen for 28 years before moving back to the Black Hills.

Anne was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Morman, and father, Dale Morman, both of Sturgis.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann (Richard) Rasmussen of Sturgis; daughter, Erica Zerr (Gabriel Brummett) of Eau Claire, WI; son, Tony (Ashley) Zerr of Redfield, SD; sister, Patricia Ashley of Sturgis, SD; brother, Greg (Stacy) Morman of Rapid City; six grandchildren, Damion, Erielle, Kingston, Ziah, Cassidy, and Burley; and her partner, Ron Kenyon, of Rapid City.

A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Battle Mountain Humane Society of Hot Springs, SD.
