Annette Marie Myers, 43, Sturgis, expired Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007. She was born July 30, 1963 to Sharon (Earle) and Jerry Barton of Malone, NY. She attended elementary school in Massena, NY until the family moved to Sturgis, SD in 1978, where she attended Sturgis Brown High School. Annette Marie moved to North Dakota in 1982, where she eventually met the love of her life. She was married to Jerry Myers on Aug. 6, 1988. They shared 18 wonderful years together. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and the early part of her career was working with them in nursing home settings, including the Sturgis Nursing Home, Dorsett Home in Spearfish, SD, Lookout Memorial Hospital in Spearfish, SD, and with Evans Orthodontist in Rapid City, SD. Her most recent employment was with Direct Check in Sturgis, SD. Annette love camping, fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. Visitation will be 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Black Hills Funeral Home of Sturgis, and 1 hour before services. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Michael Fox officiating. Interment will follow at the Bear Butte Cemetery of Sturgis. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jerry Myers, Sturgis; three beautiful daughters and one son-in-law, Stacy Stohs (Jason) of Blackhawk, Tiffany and Carissa Myers both of Sturgis; step-daughter Jennifer Heupel of Granite City, IL; one beautiful granddaughter, Isabella Stohs, Blackhawk; her mother, Sharon Barton, Sturgis; one brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Terry Barton of Burns, TN; aunts and uncles, Peter and Earlene Pellegrina & Raymond and Jeanie Saucier of Geneva, NY. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Barton, Sturgis and her grandparents. A memorial has been established to the family 1440 Junction Ave Sturgis, SD 57785.
