Anthony "Tony" Austin Wall was born on March 18, 1948, in Shreveport, LA to Burley Wall and Lola Pace.
He joined his stepfather in running the ranch, which he greatly enjoyed. Besides ranching, Tony loved fishing, camping, raising sheep and horses, and gardening. He was also a very talented carpenter. Tony was a devout catholic and was often sustained by his faith.
Tony Wall, 72, of Belle Fourche, died Friday, October 30, 2020, of COVID-19 related health issues, at Rolling Hills Healthcare in Belle Fourche, where he had resided.
He is survived by his son, Tony Austin Wall, Jr.; his brothers, Bud and Jimmy; his sisters, Lenora and Avon; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Homer Truman; a brother, Bobby; a sister, Maxine; and a nephew, Hank.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., with Rosary beginning at 9:00 a.m.,on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis with Father Timothy Castor officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
Tony will be missed, but the love he inspired in others to do better, even in ordinary daily tasks, will be his legacy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Rolling Hills Healthcare in Tony's memory to help purchase COVID-19 medical supplies and protective gear.
