Obituary

Anthony (Tony) H. Bruch, 95, died Wednesday, November 15, at his home in Sturgis, S.D.

Anthony was born on September 25, 1911, in Sturgis to Henry and Agnes (Karrels) Bruch. He attended school at St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis.

On December 30, 1943, he married Justine Bestgen. He spent his life farming and ranching at Stoneville, S.D., and near Bear Butte.

He is survived by his ten children: Joanne and Dean Harmon, John Bruch and Bonnie Bruch, Betty and Duane Jorgensen, Robert Bruch, Helen and Duane Riedlinger, Edward Bruch , Judy and Pat Kerrigan, Albert and Holly Bruch, Nick and Joni Bruch, Susan and Bob Lehrkamp.
His grandchildren are Connie and Jim Buckingham, Gary and Monica Harmon, Janet and Nik Short, Vicki and Jason McDonald, Monica Harmon and Pat Kneip, Gregory Harmon, Karina and Josh Sigman, Sara and Mike Casteel, Daniel Harmon, Stein Bruch, Mieke and Jim Meyer, Zweit and Scottie Bruch, Jessie
Jorgensen, Andrew Jorgensen, David Tistinic, Rachel Tistinic, Patrick Kerrigan, Rena Bruch, Tony Bruch, Annie Bruch, Jenny Bruch, Donni Bruch, Kasey and Toby Tveidt, Courtney and Jeremy Pickar, Christina Bruch, Mary and Bo Fowlkes, Jason Lehrkamp, Sharon and Zach Peterson.
His great-grandchildren are Denetta, Nick and Cody Buckingham, Josh and Kyle Harmon, Alex and Jake Short, Matt, Allyson, and Mason McDonald, Riley Sigman, Roy, Charlie, Kenny and Henry Casteel, Beck Bruch, Janessa, Kylee and Emma Jorgensen, and Dysen Peterson.
Also surviving are his brothers, Francis Bruch, Newcastle, Wyo., Bernard and Henry Bruch, Sturgis, and his sisters, Mary Louise and Leona Bruch, Sturgis, and many nieces and nephews in the Bruch and Bestgen families.

Anthony was preceded in death by his wife, Justine, granddaughter Mary Harmon, his parents Henry and Agnes Bruch, his sister Bernadine Heidgerken, and brothers Clarence and Joseph Bruch.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
St. Martin's Chapel in Sturgis will be the location for a rosary and prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, and for the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Sturgis.

A memorial has been established to the St. Aloysius Cemetery or St. Martin's Chapel in Sturgis.
