Arden Lee Loughlin, 66, of Sturgis, SD, passed away unexpectedly November 11, 2022, at Sturgis Monument Hospital. Arden was born August 13, 1956, to Lloyd and Elizabeth Loughlin in Lemmon, SD. Moving the family to Whitewood, he grew up with his 7 sisters and 1 brother.

He later moved to Sturgis where he made his home. He got married and had 3 daughters, Kerri, Kelli, and Kayla. Arden worked for Summit Construction at the Open Cut for many years and working at other mines after until he just retired last year.

He enjoyed going to rodeos all of his life. He spent many seasons hunting mule deer in Bison and many days at the shooting range getting the perfect load for that certain rifle. He enjoyed the outdoors, roping as kids with Delbert to 4 wheeling in the hills as adults! He was enjoying his short-lived retirement, taking several vacations: PBR finals, and Mexico not once but twice!

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Kerri (Ryan) Benne and their children Brady and Madison; Kelli (Dustin) Cermak and their children Alexis and Cooper; and Kayla Loughlin; his mother, Elizabeth; sisters, Cecilia (Alan) Roberts, Elaine Merk, Carolyn Burnham, Wanda (Jamie) Hoyt, Renee (Dan) Schenk; brother, Delbert Loughlin; friend, Dixie Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.

Arden is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd, and sisters, Sheila Elwonger, and Brenda Kolb.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, Sturgis, SD, with burial to follow at Whitewood Cemetery.
