Arlette was born August 1, 1918, to Reverend F.A. and Amanda (Nelson) Wick of Rhame, ND. They lived on a farm "Bullhogan", 32 miles from Rhame. When the family moved into Rhame, she worked on W.P.A. from 1934 to 1937 at the sewing center and also at the sewing center in Bowman.

In 1939, she married Ernest Weisz of Rhame, ND. They were blessed with five children, Geraldine "Gerrie" Barry of Sturgis, Ronald Weisz of Sturgis, Larry (Cheryl) Weisz of Rapid City, Ramona (Derwin) Dugger of Sun Lakes, AZ, and Jerry Weisz (deceased). In 1954, they moved to the Black Hills area. In 1969, she married Albert Douglas of Upton, WY, where they lived for several years before moving to back to Sturgis.

Arlette Henrietta Wick Weisz Douglas, 97, Sturgis, died Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Lippold Hospice Suite of the Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Arlette "Gunna", "Gramma D", "Gramma 'Lette" is survived by one sister, Hope Seifert of Bismarck, ND; 4 of her 5 children; 6 grandchildren, Steve, Barb, Nicki, Shawn, Derran, and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and family of Albert Douglas.

She is preceded in death by her dear folks; her beloved son, Jerry; her wonderful husbands, Albert Douglas and Ernest Weisz; one brother, Fritz; three sisters, Fern, Faith, and Rosella; and her son-in-law, Dale Barry.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Burial will follow at the Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.

A memorial has been established to the Lippold Hospice Suite at Sturgis Regional Hospital.
