Austin Scott
Freeman
Dec 15, 2000 — Aug 13, 2021
Rapid City
Austin Scott Freeman, 20, passed away Friday August 13, 2021 at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City.
Austin was born in Rapid City on December 15, 2000 to Brandon and Crystal (Morgan) Freeman. He felt he needed to come into this world six weeks early giving his mom and dad his scares! From the time he was born he fought hard. Even though he had disabilities, he wouldn't let that stop him. Austin strived to work hard and be just like everyone else. Nothing held him back from what he wanted to do.
He grew up in the Rapid City area and graduated from Central High School in 2019. Austin loved food, playing his PlayStation, learning about cars, hanging out with his uncles, watching football-especially the Denver Broncos. He was involved with the Rapid City Reapers football team for the last two years.
Austin's memory will be cherished by his parents, Brandon and Crystal; sister, Tori; brothers, Gavin and Brysan; maternal grandparents, Ray and Karen (Johnson) Morgan; paternal grandparents; Carey and Pam (Coyle) Jacox and Bryan and Jan (Vogel) Freeman; great grandmothers, Vera Morgan and Marcy Palmer; uncles, Casey Morgan (aunty Kristina Bell), Dustin Morgan, and Jeremy (Heidi) Coyle; cousins, Hayden Czerwonka, Dominic Deyo, Paige Coyle, and Peighton Coyle; honorary siblings, Alex Soelzer and Julia McConnel; special friend, Maya Dubois and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Charles and Delores Johnson; great grandfather, Henry Morgan; and cousins, Tyson Lewis and Tavey Coyle.
Austin was our teddy bear, our Shrek! He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
A funeral service in honor of Austin's life will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Hills of Grace Fellowship, 330 E. Anamosa in Rapid City with Brett Backhaus officiating.
