Newcastle | Avenella June Doell, 84, passed away February 2, 2017 at the Hospice of Hills in Rapid City, SD.

Avenella was born on March 29, 1932 to Lucius and Vera Margaret Wilcox in Timberlake, South Dakota.

She married Louis Doell on July 15, 1950 in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Avenella is survived by her husband, Louie Doell; son, Louis Doell; daughters, Crystal Lincoln and Shawn Zapka; brother, Jerome Wilcox; sisters Nyla Kolbeck and Carol Walker; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucius and Vera Margaret; daughters, Baby Doell, Noreen, and Brenda; brothers Bud, Gary, Floyd, and Lloyd; sisters, Inga, Geraldine, Norma, Marva and Ardis.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
