Barbara Harriet Pesicka was born at Dupree, SD on June 12, 1932, to George and Edna (Place) Pesicka., Barbara was the youngest of 9 children

Barbara spent most of her life in the Dupree area where she attended school.

Barbara married Wesley B. Eaton on December 27, 1948 at Pierre, SD. To this union were born seven children.

Barbara and Wesley farmed and ranched and raised their family near Redelm. In 1965 they moved to Faith so their children could attend high school. Barbara resided in Faith until her death.

Barb was known as Bobby by family and friends. She loved playing horseshoes and April Fools jokes on anyone she could. Playing cribbage, a game of cards and board games were her joy. Scrabble was Barb's favorite game, and she could beat the best of players. Barb's Dictionary and Book of Hoyle were always close at hand.

Barb was a very talented lady. She could sew beautifully, and was a self taught Cake Decorator. She made wedding dresses for the girls and complete suits for her boys, often sewing to the last hour to finish a project. Barb could do just about anything set before her. Her wedding cakes were beautiful. A talent which she developed entirely on her own. Barb was an active 4-H supporter of her children and grandchildren. Later in life Barbara enjoyed her computer very much and sending e-mails to everyone.

Blessed to have shared her life are her seven children: Judy (Dave) Gano of Meadow, SD. Merton (Sharon) of Dupree, Levi (Laurie) of Piedmont, Melvin (Cathy) of Belle Fourche, Kenneth (Cindy) of Faith, James (Candi) of Rapid City and Wendy (Arnum) Blunt of Howard, SD, seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ralph "Doc" and Lilly Pesicka and Donald "Pat" of Dupree; one sister in law, Charlene Pesicka, California.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her husband, Wesley, her parents, four brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter Tanya Mae Gano and one grandson Richard Levi Eaton.
