Barbara Arlene Fair, 99, died peacefully January 18, 2024, at Seven Sisters Living Center in Hot Springs, SD. She was born April 5,1924, in Sycamore, Illinois the daughter of Adelbert and Lola (Hohm) Slaymaker.

She is survived by her niece, Ellen (Bill) Schilling; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Gary) Carpenter, Tiffany Snow, Joel (Carrie) Fair, Alison (Steve) O'Conner, Tristan (Cecilia) Fair, Colin Denton; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Fair; a grand-niece and grand-nephew; 14 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her father and mother; sons, Lynn S Fair and Jon H Fair; sister, Beverly Kiele; and brother-in-law, Gordon Kiele.

She lived most of her adult life in Elgin, Illinois, retiring from the Municipal Insurance Company of America as the Assistant Vice President.  She was active in the Ladies of the Elks and The Easter Seals Elgin.

Interment will be private.
