Barbara Anne Tecklenburg, 76, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Monument Health Hospice House.

Barbara was born on November 18, 1947, to August Teddy and Dorothy (Duckworth) Brunswig in Wray, Colorado.

She married Milferd Dankenbring in September of 1964 in St Francis, Kansas. To this union three children were born.

Later in life, a position at Iseman Homes brought Barbara to Rapid City, South Dakota. This is where she met her late husband, Dale Tecklenburg. They were united in marriage in August of 1990 in Saint Francis, Kansas.

Barbara had a knack for interior decorating and creating a beautiful yard. She enjoyed plants, flowers, traveling, cruising, country music and cooking for family and friends. She also enjoyed riding Four wheelers in the hills with friends and family. Among other hobbies was her love for antique glass and over time had collected several sets of depression glass.

Her greatest passion was her family!! She loved spending time with her 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Barbara's survivors include her brother, Larry Brunswig, Summerset, SD; her children, Kimberly Wright, Texas, Jerry Dankenbring, Kansas, and Kamela Neville, Nevada, Tamera Tecklenburg and Jennifer Tecklenburg, both of South Dakota.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Dorothy Brunswig; husband, Dale Tecklenburg; and sister, Terry Zweygardt.
