Barry C. Blomquist, 61, of Cambridge. MN, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at his home.

Barry was born on November 13, 1952, in Braham, MN, to Dallas and Darlene (Graham) Blomquist. He grew up in Cambridge and attended school, graduating from Cambridge High School in 1970. Upon graduation, Barry earned an Associate Degree from Brown Institute and later became a manager at CD Warehouse. Barry enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served from April 5, 1971 to November 21, 1973 and was honorably discharged. He earned a Rifle Marksmanship Badge along with earning the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Metal.

Barry is preceded in death by his brother, Dallas Blomquist, Jr; and nephew, Chris (Kip) Blomquist. He is survived by his son, Tristan Green of Cambridge; 3 grandchildren; parents, Dallas and Darlene Blomquist of Piedmont, SD; nieces, Shannon Blomquist of Stanchfield, and Traci Bistodeau of Braham; 6 great nieces and nephews; 1 great great niece; and 1 great great nephew, former sister-in-law, Nancy (Jim) Graham of Cambridge; and a dear friend Melinda Green.

Military Honors for Barry will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 29, at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis.
