Berdella "Berdie" Quick, 84, Sturgis, died Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care with her family at her side.

She was born June 30, 1935, in Fall Creek, WI, to John and Irene (Reedz) Mehls. Berdie spent her early years in Chippewa Falls, WI, then lived in sunny Cocoa Beach, FL, before moving to Sturgis in the 90's to live near family. She married James Garnett, having four children, Kim, Kyle, Kristin, and Karl, then married Bruce Quick. Berdie worked at Lynn's County Market until her retirement in 2009.

Her loves in life were her four children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; the Green Bay Packers; the beautiful cardinal birds she grew up watching; and the beaches of Florida.

Birdie is survived by her daughters, Kim (Scott) Barker, Lakeville, MN, Kyle (Steven) Taylor, Evansville, WI, and Kristin McGinnis, Sturgis; son, Karl Garnett, Rapid City; six grandchildren, Keith Rose, Brittany Castleman, Bryan Barker, Matthew (Brittany) Barker, Torin McGinnis, and James Garnett; and four great-grandchildren, Kianna, Ciarra, and Kane Castleman, and Brooks Barker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Merlain Milward.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
