Hot Springs - Bernadine (Bee) Curry Dubay Scheidt 89 of Hot Springs, passed away November 3 2011 at Castle Manor Senior Care Center. She was born 1922 in Trout Creek, Michigan. The youngest of seven children, most of whom had left home at the time of her birth, Bee soon moved with her parents, Johnson and Virginia Curry, and an older sister, Marguerite, to Detroit, Michigan where she resided the next thirty years. Her marriage to William Dubay in 1942 was fruitful and Bee gave birth to thirteen children over a period of 24 years. The growing family moved in progression to southern Florida, northern Michigan and then to southern California where Bill died in 1967, leaving Bee with nine children still at home. Bee then moved her family to Lake Worth, Florida, where she served on the board of the state PTA, and finally to Sacramento, California where her two youngest finished school. Finally on her own, Bee purchased an RV to look for places she had not seen. She soon met a fellow RV enthusiast and in 1988 Bee married Edward Scheidt. Bee and Ed spent several years traveling before settling first in southern Arizona and eventually retiring to Florida where Ed passed away in 2006. Following Ed's death Bee remarked that she was not getting married again - the men died too soon. In her final months, Bee was looking forward to reuniting in paradise with her dad, her brothers Dorias and Ray, her sisters Laura, Lenore, Ada and Marguerite, and her husbands, Bill and Ed. Bee is survived by her thirteen children: William Jr. (Diane), Marianne Marler (Raymond), Suzanne Baugus (Victor), David, Phillip (Carol), Diane, Yvonne Zuchowski (Richard), Elizabeth, Mary Lou Werthmann (Mark), Johnson, Andrew (Cheryl), Margaret Simpson (Gregory), Robert (Cathy), and her 51 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be very missed, but will live forever with love in our "memories." Her long and beautiful life will be celebrated at a family gathering in Santa Barbara, California where she will be buried with her first husband, the father of her children.
