Berniece Rae Sexton, 72, Sturgis, died November 2, 2011, at her residence in Sturgis.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Mr. Larry Green officiating.

Berniece was born September 30, 1939, at Mitchell, NE, to Ray Elmo and Viola Ellen (Prickett) Guest.

She married Rolley O. Sexton in 1956 at Marage Flats, NE. They raised their children in Lead and Eugene, OR, returning to Lead in 1974. They later divorced. Berniece spent many years working in the banking business in the Black Hills. She retired from First Western Bank in 2002. Her love for working with people led her to bartending in the Sturgis area until her retirement in 2010.

Berniece liked to play bingo, video poker, and liked trips to Deadwood. She enjoyed traveling to see family and socializing with her friends.

Survivors include her sons, Clyde Sexton, Springfield, OR, Roy Sexton, Rapid City, and Rick Sexton, Lead, SD; daughters, Sherri Stephens, Reedsport, OR, and Kelly Sexton, Gresham, OR; one brother, Keith Guest, Eagle Point, OR; sisters, Joyce Ritchie, Gillette, WY, Barbara Conlon, Whitewood, SD, and Donna Janssen, Whitewood, SD; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

To the friends who were family at heart in Sturgis, Lead, and the Black Hills area, her children, sisters, and brother extend their gratefulness for your love.
