Bertha Margaret Offerdahl , 86, died June 19, 2006. at Belle Fourche, South Dakota.

Bertha Margaret Offerdahl was born to Christian and Margaret (Nesheim) Solaas on Sept 9, 1919 at Gustave, SD . Her mother passed away Sept. 10, 1919. Bertha was raised by the neighbors until she was six years old and returned to her father's house.

Bertha was married to Sam Offerdahl Sept. 10, 1936 to this union 3 children were born. Bertha married William Reese in December 1945 and to this union 2 children were born. Bertha and Sam were remarried Aug. 16, 1959 and moved to Belle Fourche where they made their home.

Bertha was a born again Christian and was faithful to her Lord and church. She cleaned the church and was church secretary for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, rodeos gardening and her family.

She passed away peacefully at Diana Palm's Country Living where she was living the last two years.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Barbara and Gordon Canterbury of Wallace, Idaho: Judy and Vincent Hlousek of Belle Fourche, SD ; Linda and John Hoffmeyer of Belle Fourche, SD ; one son Glen and Twila Reese of Spokane, Washington; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren one sister Lillian Rothermel of Spearfish and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam in 2002, one son Elroy Offerdahl in 1996, one brother and one sister.

Burial will be at the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.

A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Black Hills and Black Hills Gospel Assembly.
