Betty J. Clark, 81, Sturgis, SD, formally of Buffalo and Ludlow, SD, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Henrique Fleming officiating. Inurnment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Betty was born January 13, 1933, at Ralph, SD, to Sigurd and Borhild (Anderson) Raffelson. She went to school at Ludlow, SD, and Bowman, ND.

Betty loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She loved crocheting, knitting and embroidery.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Clark; her son, Dana C. (Karla), Longmont, CO; three daughters, Shari (Dave) Green, Lead, SD, Lori (Neil) Engle, Spearfish, SD, and Linda (Joe) Johnston, Fredericksburg, VA; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ella Mae Raffelson and Sandi Maloney, both of Colorado.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Walter Raffleson; and an infant sister, Janice.

A memorial has been established.
