Betty Mae Griffin, 91, passed away February 7, 2025, in Thermopolis, Wyoming.

Betty was the second child of four born to Frank and Hattie (Mailloux) Meyer in Sturgis, South Dakota. She spent most of her life in Sturgis. Working for over 34 years in the dietary department at Fort Meade before going to work at the Sturgis Hospital for a few years before finally retiring.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Frankie Lewellyn, Sturgis and Donna Gleason (Dave Voorhees), Thermopolis; sons, Leland Komes, Sturgis and Dale Lange, Lead; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; brother, Clifford (Judy) Meyer; sister-in-law, Bonnie Meyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Betty was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Frank and Hattie Meyer; brothers, Jim Meyer and Vernon (Tuffy) Meyer; daughter, Pennie Clausson; and sister-in-law, Marlys.

Visitation will take place Friday, February 14, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Sturgis. Burial will immediately follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.
