Obituary

Bettyann Seifert was born to Edward and Betty (Knapp) Seifert on June 7, 1948, in Shelby, MT.  Bettyann completed elementary through high school in Shelby.  As a young girl, Bettyann enjoyed raising and riding horses on the farm and for 4-H.  She enjoyed working on the farm with her family.

She met her husband, Denley Borninkhof, in school and while working on the farm.  They were married April 28, 1968, in Shelby, MT, where they enjoyed married life for many years ranching and farming in Toole & Glacier counties.  They added two sons and a daughter to their life.  Bettyann was a homemaker and a devoted mother.  Bettyann was an avid seamstress and made all her children's clothing for the first few years of their lives.  She loved crocheting, where she made many beautiful gifts for friends and family.  Bettyann was a wonderful cook and baker and she enjoyed canning and making meals for her family.

Years later to apply his mechanical skills, Denley and Bettyann moved to Sturgis, SD, and were followed by one son and one daughter.  Bettyann created her own flowerbed/garden with Denley's help.  Daisies, Iris, and Roses were her flowers of choice and her gardens showed this.

Bettyann and Denley enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fly fishing, finding new streams to land their flies in, and often traveling the Black Hills which brought them much joy and togetherness.  They enjoyed seeing their family grow and meeting their grandchildren.

Upon Denley's death in 1999, Bettyann renewed her faith and enjoyed reading the bible often.  She got to meet her great-grandchildren.  Bettyann also started her career as a sales associate at a local store where she worked until her death.

Bettyann Borninkhof, 69, died Sunday, March, 18, 2018, at her residence in Sturgis, SD.
