Beverly was born November 2, 1934, in Rapid City to Leslie "Bud" and Myrtle (Robinson) McDaniels. She grew up throughout the Black Hills and graduated from Faith High School in 1952.
She married Carroll Gene Hale in June 1953. They lived on a ranch for a few years before moving to St. Lawrence, SD, where Beverly worked for the newspaper. In 1973, they moved to Colorful Colorado. There, she was a dietary technician in the school cafeteria. In the early 90's, they moved to the Rapid City area. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Throughout life, Beverly enjoyed shopping, puzzles, playing cards, dancing, hunting, fishing, her grandchildren, painting, and traveling.
Beverly Jean Hale, 84, Rapid City, died Monday, May 20, 2019, at Meadowbrook Manor in Rapid City.
She is survived by her sister, Leslie "Cookie" Bonsell; daughter, Kimberly Hale-Sommers (David Sommers); grandchildren, Kelly Hale, Kyle (Shelly) Miller, Kallyn Dart, and Dalton Dart; great-grandchildren, Tristan Neuneker, Easton Miller, and Elesa Miller; adopted grandkids, Coelle Gardner, Brett Marcum, and Devin Marcum (they adopted her first); and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Hale; two sons, Kallyn Hale and Kelly Hale; parents, Leslie and Myrtle McDaniels; two sisters, Audrey Estes and Ronnie Rippe; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor Karl Kroger officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
