Beverly Jean Steele, 72, Gillette, WY, died Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette.

Memorial services will be Monday, December 4, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD, with Pastor Steve Trefz officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

Beverly was born July 29, 1934, at Stephan, SD, to Grant Vernon and Esther Jane (Cunningham) Anderson. She attended school in Eagle Butte, SD. Bev married Robert Dupris at Mobridge, SD, and she lived in Eagle Butte where she raised her family. In 1961, she married Wesley Steele and lived in the Rapid City area. She has lived in Gillette since 1993. Bev worked for the Department of Social Services in Rapid City from 1970 until 1982. She worked as a clerk in convenience stores in Gillette since 1993. Bev retired in 2001.

She enjoyed crochet and in her younger years she loved to fish, plant flowers, gardening and cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley A. Steele, Gillette, WY; son, Kenneth (Mary Jane) Steele, Gillette, WY; stepsons, Robert Steele, Rapid City, Wesley Steele, Rapid City, Thomas Steele, Rapid City; daughters, Patricia Guettler, Gillette, WY, Michellene (Ray) Bradshaw, Sheridan, WY, Sherry (Mike) Tuttle, Adrian, MI, Pamela (Art) Guettler, Spearfish, Sheila Steele, Gillette, WY; brothers, Leonard (Muriel) Anderson, Bloomington, MN, Kenneth (Geneann) Anderson, Piedmont, SD; sisters, Maxine Bongard, Rapid City, JoAnne (Avin) Martin, Piedmont, SD, Joyce Peterson, Piedmont; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shelley Dupris; one grandson, Michael J. Tuttle Jr.; one great-grandson, David Huyck; one sister, Norma Hertel; and one stepson, William Steele.
