Bill Bosley, 93, passed away June 17, 2024, at Heartland Senior Living, Spearfish, South Dakota.
Bill was born in Exchange, West Virginia on May 11, 1931, to Jim and Emma Mae (Westfall) Bosley. He attended Rosedale High School, graduating in 1949. During this time, he made many lifelong friendships and has remained in contact with many of his classmates. Following graduation, he joined the US Air Force where he played trombone and bugle in the band. Being in a band was something Bill did for the rest of his life, for 80 years he played many instruments and was the lead singer. His latest gig was at the Hickory House where he was known as "Keyboard Bill"!
In 1968 he married Lilah Gray and together they raised a family, enjoying life and making memories and friends wherever they went.
Bill owned many businesses during his life, one of which was the Spotlight Video in Dupree, SD. It was here that many children hung out with him to watch videos, learn to count change, and many other things related to the business.
He will be missed by many friends and family.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lilah; children, Trudy (John) Eulberg, Scott Bosley, and William "Billy" (Stacy) Bosley; grandchildren, Amy (Jaron) Cockrum, Leo (Mandi) Bakeberg (their children, Leo, Laynee, Kodi), Amber, Chance, Scotty, Madison, Cookie, Michael, Chey-tyle, Sommer and Tika, Terra, Josh, and Colt; great grandchildren, Alan and Julia Bakeberg, Noah, Nick, Sebastian, A'Mya, Arianna and Ren; siblings, Nancy (Bud) Gregg and Burton (Blake) Bosley, Lexi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Toni; sister, Betty (Earl) Ventura and brother, George Philip (Isis) Bosley.
At his request no services will be held. His ashes will be spread in West Virginia where he was born.
