Billie Mathew McClintick, 83, of Sturgis, SD, died Friday, July 14, 2023, in Sturgis, SD.

Billie was the only child of Rose Marie Bernadette and James Bernard McClintick of Grey Eagle, Minnesota, and was born on the family farm between Long Prairie, and Grey Eagle, Minnesota, on May 20, 1940. At around 12 years of age his family moved to Sturgis, SD, where they owned a Masonry and Construction business for many years.

Bill enjoyed many activities growing up and was active in his own business called, Dynamic Productions (an entertaining contact business).

In 1960, he met a young lady by the name of Carolyn Crooks, they fell in love and was married on March 23, 1962. Together they had 3 children: James Calvin, Marie Elizabeth, and Annette Joy McClintick. In 1977, this marriage fell apart, and Bill married, Diane Sanders of the Fargo / Mandan area in North Dakota. They were together until the time of her death on July 23, 2017.

Bill is survived by his three children; James (Judy) McClintick, of Moorcroft, WY, Marie (Rob) Hanson, of Laramie, WY, and Annette Sharff (Steve Peterson) of Spearfish, SD; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Rose Marie Bernadette and James Bernard McClintick, wife, Diane Sanders, one great-grandchild, Alexandria who died as an infant. The family request that she be laid to rest in her great-grandfather's arms for eternity.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Sturgis, SD. Visitation will be prior to service at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
