Bonnie M Prell
Bonnie Marie Prell, 82 passed away surrounded many family members, Tuesday Aug. 17, 2010 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness.
She was born July 26, 1928, To Albert & Marguerite Walkup, in Omaha, NE, moved to Newcastle WY as a small child.
She was the youngest of three sisters then the girls were blessed 8 years later with a baby brother.
Married Bill Oct 13, 1948, in Newcastle WY, they would have celebrated 62 years this Oct.
She was a committed wife and mother, very hard worker, if someone need help Bill and Bonnie would be there to lend a hand. She was very creative. Her and Bill were members of the Stockyard Saddle Club in South Omaha and she won many ribbons for barrel racing.
At the time of her death she lived in Pioneer Manor. Bonnie lived in several places in her life, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, California, her favorite place of all was Keyhole State Park, Moorcroft WY, and she loved the wide-open spaces.
She loved to roller skate and Ice skate as a young girl. Loved dancing especially at the Round House in Newcastle.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband and for many year she work right alongside him and often handing him a tool he needed even before he would ask.
Her hobbies were sewing, listening to music, (Big Band) watching movie, her favorite movie stars were John Wayne and Shirley Temple. She enjoyed collecting rocks from where ever she visited to place everywhere in their yard.
She made friends easily and was a friend to many.
She is survived by her husband Bill, Three daughters Waunita (Dave) Black, Billings MT, LaVonna (Rick) Shank, Gillette, WY, Dianne (Fred) Bagley, Canyon Country, CA, one son, Billy (Terry) Prell, Canyon Country, CA. 12 grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Lorraine Currey, Newcastle, WY, Velma Cook, Omaha, NE, Marguerite Plunkett, Sun City AZ, one brother, Jack Walkup, Omaha, NE, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, and one grandson.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place, and private family services will be held at alter date.
