Obituary

Bonnie B. Tennis, 104, Sioux Falls and formerly of Sturgis, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel and will resume Saturday one hour prior to the services at the funeral chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Rev. Howard Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.

Bonnie was born November 4, 1903, at Hoover, SD, to Frederick N. and Mate (Fuller) Wilson. Bonnie had one of the first beautician licenses in the state of South Dakota. She was married to Gus Dommick. Following his death in 1950, Bonnie married Elmer Tennis in 1952. Bonnie and Elmer owned and operated a motel in Belle Fourche for several years.

Bonnie was a lifetime member of the Lebanon Order of the Eastern Star, Belle Fourche and Spearfish.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean VanDusen, Sioux Falls; three grandchildren, William Clark, James Clark, and Marion Lynn Hofer; niece, Jeanette Beck, Washington; great-grandchildren, Erin Hudelson, Amanda Clark, Adam Clark, Jared Clark, Cory Vickery, Rebecca Clark, David Clark, Aleah VanDusen, and Noah Hofer; and four great-great-grandchildren, Kimber Hudelson, Anesa Clark, Aubrey Clark, and McKenzie Vickery.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, an infant daughter, nine sisters, and one brother.

A memorial has been established.
