Obituary

Bonny Lou Jordan, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on the ranch near Sturgis, SD on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Bonny Lou was born November 29, 1932 to Fay and Charline (Aagard) Strong. She was raised in Union Center on the family ranch with her younger brother Wallace. She attended grade school at Union Center and graduated from Sturgis High School in 1950.

She married Ross Jordan on May 22, 1955. They made their home on the Jordan Family Ranch in Pleasant Valley. Ross and Bonny Lou were blessed with two children, Rick and Judy. Bonny Lou dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wonderful friend to many.

Bonny Lou is survived by her husband Ross, son Rick (Chris), daughter Judy (Al) Parsons, grandson Dustin (Erin) and their children Isaac, Chrisie, Kaisie, Haleigh and Aiden, granddaughter Shannon (Kyle) Brown, sister-in-law Pearl Strong and niece Jone (Travis) Enright and their daughters Brooke, Bailey, and Brandi, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and one nephew.

A viewing is scheduled at Kinkade Funeral Chapel Sunday, January 5 from 4 pm to 9 pm. The family will be present from 6 pm to 8 pm. The funeral will be Monday, January 6 at 2:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Harold Delbridge and Pastor Henrique Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to Sturgis Regional Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Facility and the SD Human Services Center Geriatric Care Facility.

The family extends an invitation to join them at the church to share lunch, memories, and fellowship following the burial.
