Boyd Zenas (Jack) Carey, 73, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Jack was born on July 24, 1941 in Reliance. He attended school in Chamberlain and graduated from Chamberlain High School May 27, 1955. Jack enlisted in the Marines and served four years. He returned home to Chamberlain and worked for Northwestern Public Service. In 1966, he married Kay Falk. To this union, three children were born. Jack is survived by his children, Shawn of Highmore, Blaine (Paullyn) of Huron, and Jacci of Sioux Falls; his brothers, IJ Carey, Jr. and Russell Carey; his sisters, Beverly Feltman and Nadine Schrieber; granddaughters, Sidney, Kallie, and Tatum; and friend, Patricia Huhn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay; sister, Janice Schelske; and parents, IZ and Grace Carey. Graveside services are Tuesday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
