Bruce Norman Merrifield Sr., 54, Rapid City, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center near Sturgis.

Survivors include his wife, Trudy Merrifield, Rapid City; one son, Duffy Merrifield, Mankato, Minn.; one daughter, Renata Kramersmeier, Altoona, Iowa; his mother, Patricia Merrifield, Des Moines, Iowa; four brothers, Glenn Merrifield, Dallas, Todd Merrifield, Des Moines, Drew Merrifield, Carlisle, Iowa, and Neal Merrifield, Omaha, Neb.; and two granddaughters.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church in Rapid City with the Rev. Jim Patrick officiating. Private family inurnment services will be at a later date.
