Sturgis - Burt L. Caranna, 51, of Sturgis, South Dakota, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Survivors include his mother, Louise Caranna, Dunedin, Florida; two sisters, Michelle Caranna, Dunedin, Florida, and Kenwyn Caranna, Belews Creek, North Carolina; three uncles; four aunts; several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Leonard J. Caranna. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 22 at Black Hills Funeral Home 1440 Junction Ave. in Sturgis.
