Camille was born on March 2, 1938 to Murray D. Miller and Helen L. Mutchler in Sturgis , SD The family lived in Sulphur, SD before moving to Sturgis in 1945. Camille Graduated Sturgis High School in May 1956 and married Leonard G. Abeln on June 15th that same year. Being a wife, mother and homemaker was of utmost importance to Camille.

Camille was instrumental in starting the Presbyterian Church Pancake Breakfast for the annual Black Hills Motorcycle Classic. After Leonard retired she went to work part time at McDonalds, and Lynn's Country Market in Sturgis, SD.

Camille Abeln 78 died on Sunday February 19, 2017 at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care Facility.

Camille is survived by her three children, Larry Abeln(Seattle, WA), Kevin Abeln(Sturgis, SD) and Linda Abeln(San Antonio, TX) and her brother Alan Miller, (Gillette, WY).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 2002, her mother in 2012, and her father in 1975.

Funeral Services will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Interment will be at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Sturgis Regional Long Term Senior Care.
