Rapid City, SD Carl Edward Duncan, Jr. of Rapid City, SD formerly of Rockport, IN, died on Monday, August 29, 2005 in the Ft. Mead Medical Center in Sturgis, SD. He was born on September 20, 1953 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. Carl served in the United States Marine Corps. Surviving are a daughter, Aleisha F. Duncan and two sons, Troy D. Duncan and Bryan R. Duncan, five grandchildren: Dylan L. Somers, Lucinda R. Duncan, Diamond S. Beckort, Braxton L. Gee and Jesse L. Therber. He is also survived by two brothers: Timothy L. Scarbrough and Earl N. Duncan and grandmother, Pauline Duncan. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Duncan, his mother, Betty (Shrodes) Scarbrough and stepfather, Alfred Scarbrough. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Rockport, IN on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Van Camp officiating. Inurnment will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2005 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with Chaplain Bill Zandri officiating. Full military honors provided by Sturgis Veteran's Honor Guard. Memorial contributions can be made to Celebrate Recovery c/o Bethel Christian Center in Rockport, Indiana.
