Carl Ralph Fritz, 76, of Sturgis, died, Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Dona Brennan officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral chapel.

Carl was born, July 9, 1936, in Nisland, SD, to Carl and Dorothy (Rieb) Fritz. He graduated from Vale High School in 1954. Carl joined in the United States Army in 1956 and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1958. Carl lived in Tulsa, OK, for 25 years where he owned and operated a gardening service.

Survivors include two brothers, Melvin (Grada) Fritz of New Port Richey, FL, and Jim Fritz of Hot Springs; two sisters, Dona (Jim) Brennan of Woodland Hills, CA, and Barbara (Palmer) Dahl of Sturgis; and many nieces and nephews including Kayli Dahl, age 4, of Sturgis.

Carl was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Bob Fritz.

A memorial has been established.
