Carl Porter Miller, 91, of Osage, Wyo., formerly of Greenville, died May 8, 2006, at his home. Graveside services are today at 3 p.m. at Sullivan Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Miller and Rev. James Slocumb officiating and family members serving as pallbearers. Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Wolfe City to Edward Charles and Mammie Malone Miller. He was married to Margie Hatchett on Aug. 26, 1939, in Hunt County.

Mr. Miller was a retired truck driver for Goodwill Industries and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a son, Tommy Miller Sr. of Osage, Wyo.; a brother, Edward Miller of Arlington; a sister, Leta Mae Reid of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

His parents, wife, three brothers, two sisters, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild preceded him in death.
