Carlisle C. Potter, 83, Whitewood, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at David M. Dorsett Regional Senior Care in Spearfish.

Carlisle was born March 21, 1924, in Rapid City, SD, to Charles and Minnie V. (Saar) Potter. He grew up and attended high school in Rapid City. He worked for his father in the family sawmill before becoming a truck driver. He was a truck driver most of his life.

Survivors include one brother, Sidney (Edith) Potter, Mountain Home, AR; two sister, Lola Chiller and Wanda (Dale) Miller, all of Torrington, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Thelma Rose Potter; and three brothers, Loren, Eugene A. and Francis Earl Potter.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 17, 2007, at the Whitewood Cemetery with Mr. Mark LaLonde presiding.
