Carlyn Gidget Kegley, 64, passed away peacefully this Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Monument Hospital after a short but strong fight against pancreatic cancer.

She had a love of butterflies, elephants, owls, and lighthouses. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting handmade items, such as painted bags and wood, as well as homemade candles and etched glasswork. She also loved to hang out with her family, watching movies and simply talking for hours on end. A small business owner, she had fun working on her various business ventures.

She had an enormous impact on those close to her and her loss will be felt deeply by everyone she knew. She was always available to lend a helpful hand or ear to those that needed her without even a thought of complaint. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, Melvin "Pete" Kegley; and two daughters, Rachel Kegley, and Shannon Fransen.
