Charles Franklin Henry, Jr., passed away on August 25, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. He was 75 years old. He was born on January 15,  1944, in San Mateo, CA.
He was a Marine and served in the US Marine Corps from June, 1961 to March, 1966. He did two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He had many jobs over the years, but one of his favorites was being a professional clown.
Charles married Linda Ohrtman in April of 1969, and to this marriage three children were born, Angie, Chuck, and Casey. He later married Sandra (Myers) Mohni on April 28, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Henry, Rapid City, SD; daughter, Angie (Lyle) Gacke, Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Chuck (Dawn) Henry, Arvada, CO, and Casey (Pam) Henry, Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Nick (Katie) Gacke, Phoenix, AZ, Josh (Emily) Gacke, Sioux Falls, SD, Lindsy Henry, Denver, CO, and Katelyn Henry, Arvada, CO; his twin sister, Charlene Paetzel; and his "daughter," Precious.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Henry, Sr.; and his mother and stepfather, LeOra and Russell Wienke.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.        Family and friends can meet at Kinkade Funeral Chapel at 11:30 a.m., prior to leaving for the cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the Humane Society of the Black Hills, or to the Department of Veterans Affairs Fort Meade Hospice Unit.
